[Kernel-packages] [Bug 2002326] [NEW] ubuntu hangs completely after a while if it is connected to thunderbolt dock during boot
Public bug reported: If my Lenovo ThinkPad P16 is connected to thunderbolt dock during boot, it works for few minutes but then it hangs completely, even clocks in topbar stops, no mouse, no keyboard working, only way out is to press and hold power button until it switches off. Time varies from maybe 2minutes to 30minutes, no idea what it depends on, however it happen always. On other hand if I boot without Thunderbolt Dock connected and connect it first after login screen is shown, everything is OK and it never hangs... Hi, I followed your instructions and installed 5.3.0-17.18+lp1846016. I didn't see any errors during boot just blinking cursor in left upper corner of display. However boot took probably same long time as when there were errors and, as I wrote, screen was black with blinking cursor instead of standard Ubuntu booting screen.
