Additional info: This is the line I added to /etc/default/grub to search
for a working kernel and revert to 105 until this is fixed:
GRUB_DEFAULT="Advanced options for Ubuntu>Ubuntu, with Linux 4.4.0-105-generic"

Shutdown works fine.
On Reboot, the system hangs.
This is a problem on the current kernel (188.8.131.52) and appears to have
been introduced in 184.108.40.206, 107 or 108. I make this assertion because
I have version 220.127.116.11 and version 18.104.22.168 available on my computer.
