culprit found: Linux version 3.11.0-031100rc5-generic last working version was rc4 as per comment #11 reproduction steps: boot kernel, start regular (random desktop) usage, i.e. multiple chromium sessions, xchat, thunderbird, crashes within minutes/seconds from kern.log (see next attachment)
