Confirmed on ASUS X555LAB running Ubuntu 15.10.

$~# sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
X555LAB.503
08/04/2015

First brightness was not working at all. Adding "acpi_osi=" at the end of
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT enables the brightness settings in system settings.
Still Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 are not working.
As a workaround I assigned Ctrl+F3 and Ctrl+F4 to "xbacklight -dec 10" and
"xbacklight -inc 10" to decrease and increase brightness. However this is
suboptimal.
Hope this "Brightness keys Fn+F5 and Fn+F6" problem can be fixed.
