Bug is reproduceable here - affected all of our tomcat7 instances
running on trusty...
tomcat7 crashes silently without logging anything, but the kernel logs
show the following:

Sequence of events:
1) Firefox freezes.
2) Tries to force close firefox in KDE
3) Window freezes
4) Tries to kill FF using pkill
5) Does not know pkill's commands so tries to open man pkill
6) man freezes inside of terminal emulator
7) Whole system freezes. Keyboard lights do not toggle, no disk
