[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1550704] Re: Type Cover (3) touchpad not working on Surface Pro 3

2022-10-23 Thread Saverio Miroddi
I'm closing this, since it's been a long time that this made it into the
kernel.

In the former discussion, I haven't noticed @kaihengfeng's comment
(otherwise I would have followed up), apologies :|

Hello!

I think the bug can be closed:

> BTW, "ConditionPathIsDirectory" is not new. It's been there for two
years already in Ubuntu 20.04.

On the same date of the bluez package upgrade, I had to revert to an
older kernel version due to the amdgpu driver incompatibility, so that
should be the cause.

The version was the Ubuntu mainline 5.11.16 (the latest compatible with
20.04 and with the amdgpu official drivers as of today), which I don't
know if it's of any interest (if so, I can upload the information).

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1331520] Re: The encrypted swap partition is not correctly setup

2014-06-26 Thread Saverio Miroddi
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected trusty

** Description changed:

I've installed Ubuntu using an encrypted (home) setup, which also sets
  up an encrypted partition.

Such swap partition though, it's not setup correctly, so it causes
problems, for example, with the hibernation support.

I've found that /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 doesn't exist, as setup by the
  Ubuntu installer.

- I've tried to run ecryptfs-setup-swap, which correctly sets up the
- system (I can see a change in /etc/fstab, /etc/crypttab, and also,
- /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 symlink is created), but when I restart the
- system, same problem happens.

Title:
The encrypted swap partition is not correctly setup

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I've installed Ubuntu using an encrypted (home) setup, which also sets
  up an encrypted partition.

Such swap partition though, it's not setup correctly, so it causes
problems, for example, with the hibernation support.

I've found that /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 doesn't exist, as setup by the
  Ubuntu installer.

I've tried to run ecryptfs-setup-swap, which correctly sets up the system (I
can see a change in /etc/fstab, /etc/crypttab, and also, /dev/mapper/cryptswap1
symlink is created), but when I restart the system, same problem happens.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1331519] [NEW] After suspend, the screen gets corrupted

2014-06-18 Thread Saverio Miroddi
Public bug reported:

After I resume from suspend, the screen gets corrupted, specifically,
area of the screen don't refresh, for example, the cursor doesn't blink,
or some tabs of my editor don't dis/appear.

I can reproduce it almost always; I can work the problem around by
switching to another terminal and back.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1331520] [NEW] The encrypted swap partition is not correctly setup

2014-06-18 Thread Saverio Miroddi
Public bug reported:

I've installed Ubuntu using an encrypted (home) setup, which also sets
up an encrypted partition.

Such swap partition though, it's not setup correctly, so it causes
problems, for example, with the hibernation support.

I've found that /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 doesn't exist, as setup by the
Ubuntu installer.

I've tried to run ecryptfs-setup-swap, which correctly sets up the
system (I can see a change in /etc/fstab, /etc/crypttab, and also,
/dev/mapper/cryptswap1 symlink is created), but when I restart the
system, same problem happens.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Incomplete
