I did the workaround yesterday and up to the moment I have zero freezes.
Thanks Thomas for the tip, hope this will be fixed upstream.

I also face freezing problems after upgrading to 15.10, no freezes at all with
15.04
At my system it happens randomly but always when playing Hedgewars in full
screen.
