Do we know when that change is going to be pushed to the official kernel? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791427 Title: Touchpad and/or trackpoint stop working after S3

Any update on this issue? I have Asus ROG model and I am experiencing the same issues with the touchpad. After opening the lid, the touchpad starts lagging for couple of seconds and becomes disabled after that. I am currently using the 5.3.1 kernel. I can't use older kernels than 5.0 because in

I have installed the newest kernel 5.2.3-050203-generic and here the disconnects do not happen when I use it but whenever I close the lid and open it again, the touchpad starts lagging for a second and then disconnects so I need to do a restart in order to start working again (reloading it doesn't

I think the issue is the same as the others above so there is no point in opening another one. dmesg | grep ELAN returns: i2c_hid i2c-ELAN1200:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report (16/65535) just like in the case of the OP. Also it might be helpful to mention that reloading the driver

With that kernel the touchpad does not work at all. This issue was partially fixed in Manjaro with 5.0 kernel but I assume the Ubuntu kernel is different -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu.

Unfortunately I am not that familiar with the patching process. I have read about it and I have tried the following without any success: I have put the .diff file in this directory: /lib/modules/5.0.0-05-generic and tried applying the patch the following command: patch -p1 <

I am experiencing the same behavior with the 4.19 kernel. The touchpad does not work smoothly and freezes occasionally and I have to wait for couple of minutes, after which it starts working again. dmesg command gives the same output like what other people have reported: i2c_hid i2c-ELAN1200:00:
