Title:
System freezes when performing a backup bash script
My backup bash script worked fine the first few times, but then the
system crashed and a black screen with messages appeared:

evo_sync+0xc6/0xf0 [nouveau]

This was on v3.18-rc5-vivid.
After I uninstalled nvidia-331, I was able to install the files for
v3.18-rc5-vivid without problem, and successfully boot. I will execute
my backup bash script and see if the freezing still happens.

I tried 3.18-rc1. I got the same result as with rc3 and rc4: a black
screen. But this time, I also noticed a message quickly flashing
(lasting only a second or two): "kvm: disabled by bios".
So far, I tried:

v3.18-rc3-vivid
v3.18-rc4-vivid

I could not test the latest mainline kernel (3.18-rc4) . As before, the
system did not boot; however, this time, instead of displaying a
message, it simply gave a black screen. I also tried 3.18-rc3 with the
exact same result.

The freezing still happens. I tried testing the latest upstream kernel
again (v3.18.0-031800rc2). As before, the system did not boot, and it
gave the same message.
