[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1710941] Re: Bluetooth stopped working after kernel update 4.4.0-91

2019-03-02 Thread Thomas Schwinge
I may be running into the same issue as reported here. Has any progress
been made, or any workaround been found?

Title:
Bluetooth stopped working after kernel update 4.4.0-91

Status in bluez package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Bluetooth connection to Bose Soundlink II have been fine for years.
Applied a few new updates in the last day or two --- system was
generally up to date, I don't often wait more than a week or so ---
and now I can no longer connect. Removed the device and re-paired
just fine, although the speaker did not connect as it usually does
after the pairing (i.e., it stayed in pairing mode).

This is a crash in "/usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-cdda". I'm having a look.

** Package changed: linux (Ubuntu) => gvfs (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu)

Title:
Unable to mount audio disc - Message did not receive a reply (timeout
  by message bus)

Status in gvfs package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have an Asus external slim USB optical drive and when I insert an
Audio CD, Unity pops up a message with the text in the summary:
"Unable to mount audio disc - Message did not receive a reply (timeout
by message bus)". I'm able to open VLC and successfully play the
  audio disc, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I've tried
checking the box marked "Never prompt or start programs on media
insertion" in the System Settings in the Details -> Removable media
section with no change in behavior.

 looks very relevant, so
this would supposedly be a bug in systemd itself.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1640468] Re: package bluez 5.41-0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2016-12-22 Thread Thomas Schwinge
The systemd log line "bluetooth.service: Failed at step NAMESPACE
spawning /usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd: Too many levels of symbolic
links" (which is also present in your "JournalErrors.txt" file) lead me
to systemd's "ProtectHome" configuration option, and indeed
"/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service" states "ProtectHome=true", which
supposedly doesn't play well with my "/home -> media/[...]/home"
symlink. Changing that to the weaker "ProtectHome=read-only", the bluez
package configures successfully.
