[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1566302] Re: Ubuntu 16.04: Suspend freezes the system after upgrade to linux image 4.4.0-16

2017-02-08 Thread Trueman
Nothing helped: not grub editing from comment #140 neiter instalalling and
starting "tlp"...
Fujitsu A555 laptop freezes after 2nd wake up from suspend.
Ubuntu 16.04 with any kernel in range 4.4.0-11 - 4.4.0-59.
I've to use 4.4.0-10 kernel where the issue is not replicated.
Very frustrating...

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1566302] Re: Ubuntu 16.04: Suspend freezes the system after upgrade to linux image 4.4.0-16

2016-08-16 Thread Trueman
I've the same issue with wakeup after suspen to ram on laptop fujitsu A555 with
Intel+ATI graphics. It started after updating to kernel 4.4.0.11 and lasts even
with kernel 4.4.0.34. Usually, first wakeup works fine, but 2nd freezes the
laptop - screen is not black but shows the Desktop and opened applications,
keyboard does not responce (switching to console is not possible, reisub does
not work also), system fun works and temperature grows. I have to press and
hold power button until laptop turns off.
Workaround with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash radeon.modeset=0" does
not work for me.
Swap is located on separate primary not encrypted partition.

The latest kernel which works OK with resume from suspend is 4.4.0.10.
So, I'm using it. But still wait for a fix.

Title:
Ubuntu Mate 16.04 freezes on resume after sleep with any kernel after
  4.4.0.10

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I've installed 16.04 beta several monthes ago on Fujitsu A555 laptop (the one
with AMD Radeon R7 M260 graphic).
Everything goes fine till kernel updated to 4.4.0.11. Since 4.4.0.11 kernel -
if put laptop into sleep and then resume - laptop either freezes or will sure
freeze on next resume after sleep. This happens with any kernel in range
4.4.0.11 - 4.4.0.21. I'm forced to stay on kernel 4.4.0.10 to use ubuntu.
Note: the issue started after force removing FGLRX by upcomming update.
Please let me know if any of logs or outputs will be helpful - I'll attache
them.
