Managed to recover by resetting the blade. manually mounting /dev/md0
before running the cryptunlock (stacktrace still triggered after
unmount) from dropbear shell and removing the wily kernel entries from
grub.cfg and reverting back to vivid's kernel.
Appears to be an interaction between 4.1.0-3

** Description changed:
Install via LiveUSB created with unetbootin off the saucy amd64 iso was

Unfortunately whilst I get the screen up on boot, the first time the
screen is blanked either by power management, or switching a VT or
standby(closing lid) - I loose the screen and need to do a reboot to
get it back. Not very useful unfortunately.
I have tried a couple of different 3.12 kernels
Experiencing similar behaviour from zenbook ux302lg. Pinning and
upgrading to trusty kernel gives me slightly different outcomes (I get a
backlight down and red streak appear) before backlights up and blank
screen where I hear the Cowbell of lightdm.
I don't get the red tear at all with Saucy
