Hie,
I have the same problem than
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1994144
with my computer HP 17-cn2119 under Kubuntu 22.04. I tried also Kubuntu 23.04
and 23.10, xorg and wayland, same problem. I also tested openSuse 15.5 and
there was the same issue.

Screen and HDMI cable worked with the previous computer, and work actually on
Windows 11 (dualboot).
OK, I'm not crazy.
My dual screen stopped working tonight, and the Nvidia panel stays
empty.
I had to switch back to 6.2.0-23-generic.

Thinkpad E14 Gen2: Kernel panic with trackpad and trackpoint

This is still happening on recent kernels, and affecting newer machines
(Razer Blade 15 mid-2021 model). The trackpad works mostly fine after
boot, but after sleep and resume, the trackpad goes funky
OK, I increased swap to 8G. I will do some testing to figure out if this
solves the problem or not.

As written in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1872001/comments/118,
I had no hangs with "5.3.0-52-generic" or the extended one "lp1861395v1"
I did not check the logs with "5.3.0-52.46+lp1861395v1" but with the
previous version the number of entries where very limited.
Hello,
I installed today "5.3.0-52-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP" following comment
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1872001/comments/101
(and fixing the typo for /etc/sourceS.list)
It removed all visible hang issued I have before especially with
IntelliJ and the whole desktop.

Title:
Headphones stop working
I believe this fix causes a regression with NoteBook Fan Control (NBFC) as
lifting the kernel lockdown was used as a workaround to enable NBFC to control
fan speed.
See https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/issues/414#issuecomment-354274657 and

Yes. I typed "bluetoothctl", then used "devices" to list the available
devices and then "connect ".
Connection doesn't work :
- automatically, when I switch on the headphones
- when I try to force connection using the toggle in the UI

I'm adding system.journal and user-1000.journal to this bug report.
Today (November 25th) at :
- 20:47 : I switched the headphones on... which didn't connect
- 20:48 : I tried to connect manually using UI (but the switch/toggle
immediately came back to "off")
- 20:49-50 : I used bluetoothctl,

Public bug reported:
I'm using Marshall MID ANC headphones with Ubuntu 19.10.
Every now and then, I won't be able to use them without re-pairing first (like
today - see logs).
After re-pairing, everything works again for a while : I can switch off and on
the headphones, reboot... Until it
Hi,
Unfortunately, the patch does not seem to solve the problem. Running
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with kernel 4.15.0-64, the crash still occurs with the
same signature :

NULL pointer dereference at 0038

Some more information, somewhat related to this bug. I bought a NUC 8i5
with an Intel onboard Ethernet. Installed Ubuntu Server 19.04 on it, and
quickly had poor networking speed: ping would rise to 600ms on the LAN
(like, on the same switch as my computer) as soon as I tried to install
something
Hi,
We are also affected by this bug.
Adding linux-meta in the loop because a simple solution could be to now
add a tighter dependency on the linux-image-4.4.0-*-generic package,
that means linux-base (>= 4.5ubuntu1~16.04.1).
** Changed in: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Confirmed
** Also affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)

Hi Eric,
I confirm that this behaviour can only be reproduced in 'uu' context and
only in 'shutdown mode'.
I can also confirm that the upgrade process is now OK in Bionic with

@Eric : Sosreport sent by email. Did you try the second time (with
cloud-init installed) to reproduce with unattended upgrades on shutdown

unattended upgrades on shutdown mode works.

You received this bug notification because
@Eric : Is cloud-init installed on your system. If not, can you install
it and try again please ? Indeed, as you can see in my first comment,
removing the cloud-init dependency on the linux-cloud-tools-common makes
the update process work well. So it seems to be related with cloud-init.

@Eric, no, it is not necessary. We encountered the same problem on AWS

Hi Eric,
The downgrade operation you saw is just because I've used the same
server to give you the logs and to test the step-by-step instructions
before writing them on this bug report.
I can confirm that the issue can be reproduced any time starting from
the 2 versions (Xenial : 4.4.0-135.161,
