[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1373552] Re: iwlwifi problem causes repeated disconnections to wireless network

2014-10-08 Thread Enkouyami
** Summary changed:

- Can't connect to wireless network
+ iwlwifi problem causes repeated disconnections to wireless network

** Description changed:

After having iwlwifi problems of constant disconnections every 30 or so
  minutes, I tried going to
  http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/iwlwifi to install the
latest Intel® Wireless 7260 firmware for my kernel version at
/lib/firmware, having only the -8 or -7 version in that directory,
restarting my computer, and reinstalling the linux-firmware 1.127.6
  package.
-
- Later on I became unable to reconnect to the wireless network after I
- got disconnected.

2014-10-08 Thread Enkouyami
The problem where I couldn't connect to any network was a separate
issue. Also with v3.17 of the kernel, the problem happens much less
frequently.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1373552] Re: iwlwifi problem causes repeated disconnections to wireless network

2014-10-08 Thread Enkouyami
Will try to see if downgrading linux-firmware to 1.127.4 to see if that
fixes the problem.
