Title:
  Display freeze quite often

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:

  Apr 29 13:41:44 tower kernel: [20711.955797] i915 :00:02.0: Resetting

This seems to happen 1-10 times per day. Not sure is this something
related to PyCharm usage, but 80% of cases I have PyCharm in use when
display freezes. Freeze is 7-8seconds and then again display is
  updates.

2020-04-30 Thread Francis Ginther
This is a likely duplicate of LP:#1872001. You can try installing the
test kernel mentioned in

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1872001/comments/72

or wait for the fix to appear in the next SRU release of 5.3
(5.3.0-51-generic does not have the fix yet).
