pt123, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/

I just applied the updates, restarted the computer uname - a shows 3.2.0-51-generic then I shut it down, then pressed the power on , and the mouse was NOT recognised, had to manually unplug the usb mouse from the computer and plug it back in again for the mouse to work like before. Then I trie
