The issue is not appearing on a system with the kernel installed from

14:18:20 is the logs obtained after installing the above test kernel)

server VM with 512 MB RAM can reproduce this bug. I'm installing such a
VM now.

I tested the kernel version you mentioned.
3.11.0-031100rc7-generic does not have this problem, it appeared after
upgrading from 3.10.0-6-generic.
