As a temporary fix, download the attachment compat-3.4.h, then run these
commands:
sudo cp compat-3.4.h
/var/lib/dkms/oem-wireless-rt2x00-1044172/20120910compatwirelessstella6/source/include/linux/
sudo dkms install oem-wireless-rt2x00-1044172/20120910compatwirelessstella6 -k
3.2.0-55-generic
As this machine has the RT3290 wifi dkms, this is not the same issue as
bug 1049466.
This is caused by dkms build failure:

thanks a lot for the temporary fix. after the workaround i have wifi and
bluetooth working in 3.2.0-55 kernel too.
hoping for a complete fix to avoid dkms build failure in future kernel
versions
