I've been reading the instructions you directed me to and when I was searching for previous reports of the error I found these ones: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.general/88282/match=vaio http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.general/92905/match=vaio Therefore I guess I shouldn't

Jose Luis Tirado, it is not considered a duplicate upstream or downstream at this time as per https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1248687/comments/22 . If you want to see your bug fixed as soon as possible, you would want to make your own post following the direction as previously

In Precise the USB is not detected either. Nothing is shown when plugging/unplugging the device in the syslog, the led of the device remains off and there is no changes in the lsusb output, whether the device is connected or no. I used apport-collect from precise to attach the information. --

Jose Luis Tirado, unfortunately, because bug 1210858 was filed by Combat, it was focusing on him and his hardware (which is different under the hood in comparison to yours). Hence, no analysis has been done regarding your hardware other than that noted in this report. Despite this, for regression
