In Precise the USB is not detected either. Nothing is shown when
plugging/unplugging the device in the syslog, the led of the device
remains off and there is no changes in the lsusb output, whether the
device is connected or no. I used apport-collect from precise to attach
the information.

I can't tell as the I didn't have a Vaio before this one and Saucy was
the first release I installed on it. Anyway, that analysis was already
done in the original bug #1210858 by Combat. The bug was supposed to be
fixed but, as several users confirmed later, it wasn't actually, and
