Just got a wpa_supplicant crash when I closed Google Chrome. During the
crash or after it, the wifi disconnected and reconnected back.

I have just installed amd64 kernel from here http://kernel.ubuntu.com
/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.12-saucy/ and restarted the laptop. On startup,
there it is, multiple crashes. If I can help you with something else,
please do say. I am willing to even let you remotely use my machine if
it can help

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.12 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
