[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1261123] Re: Lenovo x121e: trackpoint and buttons sometimes not working

2013-12-15 Thread Borim
The complete dmesg log of the bootup without working buttons

** Attachment added: dmesg.0

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1261123/+attachment/3929595/+files/dmesg.0

** Description changed:

After reboot the trackpoint and buttons of the touchpad are not working.
Just the touchpad itself can be used to move the pointer. Reloading the
psmouse module fix the problem. Until some reboots later the buttons and
  trackpoint do not working again.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1261123] Re: Lenovo x121e: trackpoint and buttons sometimes not working

2013-12-15 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Borim, , as per http://download.lenovo.com/express/ddfm.html an update is
available for your BIOS (1.17). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything? If it
doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of
the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Thank you for your understanding.
