Title:
Usb Wifi TP-Link WN8200ND cannot associate to access points

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The Usb Wifi dongle TP-Link WN8200ND (rtl8192cu driver) does not
  connect.

  I use 14.04 trusty.
The system was updated one or two days ago from the internet.
I use the kernel shipped with 14.04 trusty, I did no magic with ppa's or
manual kernel builds.

If I add the dkms module that replaces the builtin driver (see
instructions and source code in [1]) then I can connect to some access
points (like my cellphone tethering access point) but not to other
access points where my laptop connects without any problems.

This bug was reported with apport-bug --save on 14.04 and reported
with apport-bug 12.04 so the additional data might have some problems
(the dialog box looks very different on both systems and 14.04 seems
to show much more logfiles) but I could not report from 14.04
  directly.

This bug is related to launchpad issue [2].
