Public bug reported:

I have a Broadcom BCM57765/57785 SDXC/MMC Card Reader internally in my
MacBook Pro Retina 13", and it does not work.

This is pretty much a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1067222 as
requested by Christopher M. Penalver (penalvch).

None of the suggested workarounds in the linked bug work for me. Some
people can work around this bug by plugging something into the ethernet
port corresponding to the PCI device in question, but this machine does
not have such an ethernet port exposed. The chip seems to be here only
for the SD card reader.
