I have searched in the kernel bugzilla for ath9k_htc related bugs.
Apparently some users had troubles with the driver and updated their
firmware which may be changing+saving certain settings on the chipset of
the wireless NIC. Can teh firmware manintainers see if they are updated
firmware files tha

I am also seeing this same issue with a TL-WN722N, it uses the same
ath9k_htc driver.
I am running ubuntu 14.04 with the 3.17-rc5 kernel and latest 14.10
firmware.
Attached is my kern.log containing at least one instance of this crash
from 3.17-rc4.(grep for "oops" =)). I've also seen this crash
I think I incurred in the same problem. I've just built a git 3.17
kernel (as a task of the eudyptula challenge) and when trying it, it
crashes after a while (i generally just manage to login) if I have my
usb wifi dongle inserted. Without the wifi dongle, no problems.

the issue still exists?
