Workaround is to use the slider for brightness in the menu in the top of
your screen.

The Fn+f5 and Fn+f6 for decrease and increase brightness work but only
from 10 to 9 decreasing and get stuck at 9. Then increasing works from 9
to 10 and gets stuck at 10. Also Fn+f7 works to toggle the backlight on
