bug 1431650 fixed multipath-tools (0.4.9-3ubuntu11), can you re-test with the latest version of that package and see if this is still an issue. (I had trouble setting the package here as several choices like init- scripts or device-mapper kept telling me there was no such package, even if they came up in the search.
