Sorry for the delay. I haven’t been working on this bug because right now I'm satisfied with a usb speaker that works. The usb speaker also has a aux plug that I can use for speakers instead of the computer's. I don't want to install the latest kernel b/c I'm afraid I wont do it right and it'll mess up stuff. I'm pretty sure its just an audio jack problem and nothing to do with Ubuntu. Tell me if/how I can take this off because I don’t want to waste more peoples time.
