I tested Kernel 4.9.0-rc4 with more or less success, making it difficult to determine precisely if it fixed this bug in particular. Among the many problems encountered, however, none concerned hibernation. Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.9 kernel[0].
