The reported issue is no more seen with the given kernel.

Tried testing given kernel
(linux-image-4.10.0-26-generic_4.10.0-26.30~lp1694485_ppc64el.deb).
Unfortunately still I'm hitting the issue mentioned in #12(BZ156746 and
BZ154870) . That fix has gone into 4.10-30 kernel. It
