I have a similar issue with a Pulse Secure VPN
After some time and usually after one or more hex dumps were displayed, I get
the following

Connected to HTTPS on ...
Got HTTP response: HTTP/1.1 101 Switching Proto
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

The information I added today is rather relativised by the fact that
today I am unable to reproduce the problem with the Ubuntu 4.15 kernels
either. I will update this when (if?) it happens again.
