2018-07-03 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Please try installing an older kernel or two from here:

  http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D

And tell us if you can find a version where Bluetooth works again.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1779949] Re: Unattended upgrade to kernel 4.15.0-24-generic kills bluetooth

2018-07-03 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Indeed, I can't see any evidence of Bluetooth hardware in the attached
files. It should be mentioned under "rfkill:" or in CurrentDmesg.txt or
in Lspci.txt or under "Lsusb:".

Your wifi card is an "Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6205", which
does not support Bluetooth either (https://ark.intel.com/products/59471
/Intel-Centrino-Advanced-N-6205-Dual-Band).

Are you sure your machine contains Bluetooth hardware at all? If the
hardware really is there then this would be a kernel bug (package
"linux"). But it sounds like maybe you never had Bluetooth hardware and
so it would be correct to not get an icon.
