the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
bionic' to 'verification-done-bionic'. If the problem still exists,
change the tag 'verification-needed-bionic' to 'verification-failed-
bionic'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

  new TB16 dock also uses this workaround.

Ok, I think that's because the r8152's serial number on your TB16 is different:

  Hi.

  Large amount of data gets corrupted when using the TB16 ethernet port.
  (rsync synchronization, etc... )

  We can confirm this issue on this kernel. Creating new issue as stated
