What's interesting is the test kernel in comment #28 was tested as good. That was built with commit 19e56be2af5 as the tip of the tree. That commit is only one commit behind 22df1539aed9, which is the version tag. However, the bug exists when commit 22df1539aed9 is the tip. I built a v2 version of 4.15.0-33. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1792100] Re: Boot hangs at "loading initial ramdisk..."
I built a 4.15.0-35 test kernel. The test kernel can be downloaded from: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1792100 Can you test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug? Note about installing test kernels: • If the test kernel is prior to 4.15(Bionic) you need to install the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages. • If the test kernel is 4.15(Bionic) or newer, you need to install the linux-modules, linux-modules-extra and linux-image-unsigned .deb packages. Thanks in advance! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1792100 Title: Boot hangs at "loading initial ramdisk..."
