Public bug reported: Currently kdump has an useful option to append parameters to the kdump kernel command-line, "KDUMP_CMDLINE_APPEND". Would be useful to have a reciprocal option which users could use to remove parameters without needing to rewrite the whole line.
The option name proposed here is KDUMP_CMDLINE_REMOVE, which would tentatively "sed"-out the options from the kernel command-line before appending the new ones from KDUMP_CMDLINE_APPEND. ** Affects: makedumpfile (Ubuntu) Importance: Low Assignee: Guilherme G.
