acpi PNP0C14:02: duplicate WMI GUID
During the architectural design of the WMI subsystem an assumption was
made that there was a 1:1 mapping of WMI GUIDs (that is they're unique).
This hasn't caused MAJOR functional problems, but this was proven wrong,
as it's possible to fetch multiple BMOFs.
This change makes it so that if you

Was this anything but just cosmetic? I looked at the patch and am
running it now and nothing in the dmesg has changed (nor any
functionality) except the messages aren't printed any longer.

It's benign; your BIOS has "duplicate WMI entries" within its ACPI
tables and the kernel is reporting that.
Ignore it, and/or complain to your device's manufacturer (... and good
luck with that).

So this system does have duplicated WMI devices, and they have different
functions. However, like what I said, WMI is not really a part of ACPI
specification, but a Microsoft specific standard.
Here is an ACPI dump on a Dell Latitude 5590 with kernel 5.5.3.

Such duplicated entries are dumped without further processing. Unless we find
further info, especially from ACPI standard, this is probably a WONTFIX.
