Title:
  x86/kvm: Backport fixup and missing commits

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in linux source package in Xenial:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  == SRU Justification ==

  The update to stable 4.4.168 contains a couple of x86/kvm related
  commits that have later fixup commits in upstream. Also, there are a
  couple of commits in stable 4.4. that we're missing.

  == Fix ==

  Cherry-pick or backport the relevant commits.

  == Regression Potential ==

  Low. The relevant commits have been in upstream for quite a while.

  == Test Case ==

  Not available. It's unclear what the impact is of not having those
  fixups but it's clear from upstream's commit messages that they fix
  real issues.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1811646] Re: x86/kvm: Backport fixup and missing commits

2019-02-12 Thread Brad Figg
This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves
the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
xenial' to 'verification-done-xenial'. If the problem still exists,
change the tag 'verification-needed-xenial' to 'verification-failed-
xenial'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!
