Hi Daniel,
I have the exact same symptom of a freezing Acer Aspire 3 A317-33 after
a few minutes. I tried multiple times to install Ubuntu, Lubuntu,
EndavourOS, Manjero and others. They all freeze after several minutes of
usage.
In case this would also "hint" to a hardware issue, as suspected in

the faulty component is the NVME solid state drive, so you might want to
look at replacing that. Although there's no guarantee that is the
problem -- it might also be a motherboard fault :(
