We have a 20.04 kernel update in focal-proposed (version 5.4.0-79.88)
which has the following patch applied which might fix this problem:
NFSv4: Fix a NULL pointer dereference in
pnfs_mark_matching_lsegs_return()
Could you please try running
Upgraded to 20.10 running 5.8.0-1030-kvm and everything is fine again
too.
