[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1950339] Re: Screen stays black after going idle or waking up from suspend on AMD laptop
Same here, I have a Lenovo X13, also with an AMD 4750U. Screen shows random noise after suspend/resume with 5.13 kernel. Reverting back to 5.11 kernels removes the problem. I also installed a 5.15 kernel and here, things are also working again. Might be related to this: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1783 Unfortunately, the 5.15 kernel is no option for me as Virtualbox DKMS doesn't compile the drivers (due to newer glibc used in the 5.15 kernel compared to Ubuntu 20.04) ** Bug watch added: gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues #1783 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1783 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-signed-hwe-5.13 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1950339 Title: Screen stays black after going idle or waking up from suspend on AMD laptop Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in linux-signed-hwe-5.13 package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Upon upgrading to the latest HWE edge kernel (from 5.11 to 5.13) on 20.04, I found that my screen won't work if my laptop goes idle (screen off) or wakes up from suspend.
