Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Title:
ZFS promote clone failure: not a cloned file system

Status in zfs-linux package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have create a zpool called "pooltest" ,afterward I created a clone called
"pooltest/clone1" based on snapshot "pooltest@snap1"
I have verified and it's working.
  df -h
  pooltest /pooltest
  pooltest/clone1 /pooltest/clone1
  When I issue the command:
                                                       zfs promote
pooltest/clone1
However,I see the notification: "Cannot promote 'pooltest/clone1': not a
cloned file system
How can I fix it ?
  Thanks
