[Kernel-packages] [Bug 1958228] Re: aufs build is broken on 5.11 kernels
Only a few 5.11 kernels have AUFS config enabled and focal:linux- hwe-5.11 is not one of them, so the fix cannot be verified with this kernel. However, this fix has been cherry-picked by focal:linux- oracle-5.11 and focal:linux-riscv-5.11 by versions which were already promoted to -updates: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-oracle-5.11/5.11.0-1028.31~20.04.1 https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-riscv-5.11/5.11.0-1029.32~20.04.1 Therefore I will mark this bug as verified in Focal. ** Tags removed: verification-needed-focal ** Tags added: verification-done-focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958228 Title: aufs build is broken on 5.11 kernels Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux-hwe-5.11 package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in linux source package in Hirsute: Won't Fix Status in linux-hwe-5.11 source package in Hirsute: Fix Committed Bug description: [ Impact ] Commit 35e8d405b009 "fs: export an inode_update_time helper" (upstream commit e60feb445fce9e51c1558a6aa7faf9dd5ded533b), applied to hirsure:linux via upstream stable broke the build of aufs. [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1958228] Re: aufs build is broken on 5.11 kernels
This bug is awaiting verification that the linux- oracle-5.11/5.11.0-1028.31~20.04.1 kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-focal' to 'verification-done-focal'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-focal' to 'verification-failed-focal'. If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you! ** Tags added: verification-needed-focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958228 Title: aufs build is broken on 5.11 kernels Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Hirsute: Fix Committed Bug description: [ Impact ] Commit 35e8d405b009 "fs: export an inode_update_time helper" (upstream commit e60feb445fce9e51c1558a6aa7faf9dd5ded533b), applied to hirsure:linux via upstream stable broke the build of aufs.
