  22.04 Screen Flicker Fix Does Not Work (i915.enable_dc=0
  intel_idle.max_cstate=2 and i915.enable_psr=0 do not work)

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Similar bug fixes (see
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1958191) are not
  working for my machine. I have used mainline to check kernels 5.15.48,
  5.15.50, 5.17 and now 5.18.2.

  I have tried updating /etc/default/grub with the following but Desktop
  icon flickering persits.

  i915.enable_dc=0 intel_idle.max_cstate=2

  or

  i915.enable_dc=0 intel_idle.max_cstate=4

  or

  i915.enable_psr=0
