I also have this bug. When I rotate my mouse over my web-browser, I can
get the cpu usage to spike as high as 40%. When I am not moving the
mouse, it shows 1% usage. Rotating the mouse over a terminal window, it
jumps to 3-5%.

I can't comment reliably on whether it's still an issue or not, as the
box where I was reproducing it is no longer running Ubuntu (that machine
is vanilla Debian GNU/Linux now, for various reasons unrelated to this
bug).

Karl Fogel, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
