This problem is fixed, not sure by who... the provided module (rr622x) compiles for modern distros OK, and works without issue using standard compilation method (module assistant and friends.) I don't want the software RAID, just straightforward JBODS. and this device shows a very similar pcid. wondering if there is hope... I have 30 days to return/exchange the card, I can put in test kernels etc... If there is hope, I can keep the card, otherwise will exchange for an SI3132 based card.
