I am also experiencing this problem on Ubuntu 13.10 with TL-WN821N.
Some additional information:
- This happens with exsessive constant downloading, if I am gaming online in
intermittent downloading it's fine and no issues.
- Downloading large files at constant high-speeds and it can cut out
Installed linux-crashdump. Test with AltGr+SysRq+C. Crashes. Hangs with
no disk activity 5+minutes. Does not reboot. Nothing in /var/crash,
nothing apparently unusual in /var/log/kern.log I'll assume that linux-
crashdump is crashing and ignore that - install linux-crashdump-
crashdump? ;-)

Impact:
The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly
It occurs that the problem did *not* exist after a recent clean install
of 13.10 (64bit Desktop CD) on a friend's notebook. While it still
happens on my desktop PC.

On the notebook we used wireless (b43 out of the box) internet during
