I tried booting linux-generic with the boot parameter threadirqs, and
it froze, just the same as linux-lowlatency.
So, I recommend removing the config that makes threadirqs a default boot
parameter for linux-lowlatency, until the bug has been fixed.

Just to add that I have today updated my BIOS to the latest available
for my laptop (I had A02 and I updated to A06), however the brightness
function keys still don't work.
So we will have to wait for a fix to be included in a newer kernel.
