hello, I used 14.04 beta2 with kernel 3.13.0-19-generic with success.
The problem arises after the update to 14.04 stable with kernel
3.13.0-24-generic.
Then I am still able to use wifi booting with kernel 3.13.0-19-generic. I don't
know if there is an option for downgrading to that kernel
I solved this problem by buying another WiFi/Bluetooth adapter.
As I've been reading that some manufacturers (e.g. HP) whitelist a few adapters
only in their BIOS, I can confirm that the Intel 7260.HMWWB works out of the
box in a HP Envy 17-j188ez and doesn't cost much.
