NVIDIA-SMI couldn't find libnvidia-ml.so library in your system. Please make
sure that the NVIDIA Display Driver is properly installed and present in your
system.
Please also try adding directory that contains libnvidia-ml.so to your system

I tried kernel linux-image-5.3.0-1013-raspi2 on Pi4. I'm running mate-
desktop-environment using autologin and with this kernel X-server
started but only showing black screen with mouse cursor, I could log in
with ssh. I rolled back to linux-image-5.3.0-1012-raspi2 for now.

I found that issue too. the driver v3d.ko crashed. In the 1013, we
enabled v3d.ko, while before the 1013, the v3d.ko is disabled.
You could change dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d to #dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d in
the config.txt, then boot with 1013 kernel, system will use fbdev as
before.

I've got a bit confused about the behavior of the system so I restarted
the process to check what's happening. Here the steps I performed:
1. Install clean image on SD card.
2. Block internet access of the RPI, so no updates to be installed on first
boot.
3. Reboot
4. Remove 50-cloud-init.yaml
FWIW, it appears that somebody has found the bug in the driver that
results in this issue and created a patch for it. There are also

I would say even worse, because I could not get a VT, so it needed a
hard shutdown, after opening a something in `foliate`, Only thing

My configuration is the result of the server install, plus the proposed
kernel above plus:
sudo apt-get install ^ubuntu-mate-core
(select lightdm when prompted).
After rebooting, the system comes up in graphical mode with a 1920x1080
viewport on a 2560x1440 screen buffer. It is useful for a few
~/.xsession-errors can also get Quite Big.

Possible cause for 19.10 invisible cursor with Matrox
The upstream has some fixes for v3d driver, I applied them to the kernel and
built a testing kernel:

Please also monitor the dmesg, to see if there are some "gpu mmc pte errors" in
