reinstalled OS, because that was faster. Now I used that OS for months
and I didn't want to set it up again.

that, but it doesn't mean HDMI audio doesn't work under that version.

Thinkpad P1 Gen5 when using a Thunderbolt 3 10G NIC. On cold boot, the

In fact, "dkms status" returned nothing as you expected, so I tried
removing linux-modules-iwlwifi and that did the trick. It looks like I
had this package installed from a previous Ubuntu release and it was
being preserved during the upgrade.
