I've tried downloading from

and after extracting the resultant 7265files copying them to similarly
named 3165 files and then copying the 4 resultant files to
/lib/firmware, rebooting and trying again to
I've even tried turning Bluetooth on & off, rebooting after each change.
But that didn't help. It just shows my level of desperation!

packages being installed (including ones for compiling kernel), and a

Just added pcie.aspm=off after the word splash in /etc/default/grub giving:

Interesting to compare the old computer & the new computer for ethernet using
lspci -nn.
Old computer:
02:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8125
2.5GbE Controller [10ec:8125] (rev 05)
03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX200
A Realtek Ethernet Controller was on my old PC and it is on my new
MinisForum MC560 PC and it is on my old Lenovo laptop. My old PC had an
Intel AX200 wireless interface; my old Lenovo laptop has a Realtek
wireless interface; my new PC has a MEDIATEK wireless interface. So
there seems to be

the computer: a 4 month old Asus mini PN50-1. I suddenly remembered that
the same thing had happened last August and that the supplier had given
me a replacement after I returned the original.
